Skateboarding at the Paris 2024 Olympics

Roller Sport South Africa proudly celebrates the remarkable achievements of South African skateboarders at the Paris 2024 Olympics. The event showcased the dedication and resilience of Brandon Valjalo, Boipelo Awuah, and Dallas Oberholzer.

Valjalo and Awuah returned to the Olympic stage with renewed vigor after missing the Tokyo 2020 Games due to injuries. Valjalo, who fractured his wrist before Tokyo, placed 12th in the Men’s Street Skateboarding Prelims, demonstrating his impressive skills and competitive edge. Awuah, who fractured her pelvis in Tokyo, earned 18th place in the Women’s Street Skateboarding Prelims. Her performance highlighted her determination and growth since her previous setback.

These results reflect the exceptional talent and spirit of South Africa’s skateboarding community. Well done to these incredible skaters—Roller Sport South Africa and the entire nation are immensely proud of you!
